Questions
Yes. You can download and use Dynamic Reader for free, no account required. The free version lets you keep up to 3 books, 5 vocabulary entries, and 5 annotations, with every reading mode fully unlocked. Upgrading to an Individual license removes those limits for a one-time payment — it's not a subscription.
Dynamic Reader supports plain text (.txt) files directly, plus over 70,000 free public domain classics built in via Project Gutenberg. For EPUB or PDF files, convert them to .txt first using a free tool like Calibre, then import them into your library.
The free version is fully functional but limited to 3 books, 5 vocabulary entries, and 5 annotations at a time. An Individual license removes those caps for unlimited books, vocabulary, and notes, for a one-time payment. Existing content is never deleted or locked if you stay on the free version — the limit only affects adding new items beyond the cap.
No. The Individual license is a one-time payment for lifetime access — it doesn't renew or charge you again. School and organization licenses are sold as annual terms and are renewed manually rather than billed automatically.
Dynamic Reader is currently available as a Windows desktop app and on Google Play for Android. Mac is not currently supported, though it may be added in the future.
Since Dynamic Reader is free to use with no obligation to purchase, we don't offer refunds — you're welcome to try the free version fully before deciding whether to upgrade.
